Admission Terms and Conditions

Key information for prospective and enrolled students of the European School of Data Science & Technology (ESDST).

When These Terms Apply

These terms apply as soon as you make any payment toward your programme fees. If your programme includes additional services, such as accommodation or other third-party services, those services may be subject to separate terms and conditions.

Your Programme and Fees

Fees are payable as outlined in your admission offer, including any agreed instalment schedule. Your first payment must be made before your programme start date.

Late payments may incur a late-payment fee in accordance with the applicable fee policy or student contract.

No additional tuition fees will apply during your programme beyond those agreed, unless you are notified in advance of any applicable changes.

Before You Accept

Please read your admission offer together with these terms and conditions, the relevant programme information, the Student Contract, and the policies available on our website before accepting your offer.

Once you accept your offer and enrol, you are expected to engage responsibly and respectfully as a member of the ESDST academic community.

How We Assess Applications

Each application is reviewed on its individual merits, and ESDST is not obliged to provide reasons for individual admission decisions.

Entry requirements may change over time, and admission offers may be subject to academic, documentary, financial, English-language, or other specified conditions.

Where required by law, regulation, programme requirements, or institutional policy, applicants may also be asked to provide additional declarations or documentation as part of the admissions process.

Changes to Your Programme

ESDST may make reasonable changes to a programme where necessary to maintain academic quality, respond to developments within the discipline, meet regulatory or accreditation requirements, improve programme delivery, or address operational circumstances.

Where a significant change may materially affect enrolled students, we will take reasonable steps to communicate the change in advance and minimise disruption.

Where reasonably possible, ESDST will seek to ensure that students already enrolled in a programme are provided with an appropriate opportunity to complete their studies.

Communication

The Admissions and Student Services teams will primarily communicate with you by email and through any designated student or learning platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that your contact information remains current, checking your email and student accounts regularly, and responding to communications where required.

Student Engagement

You are expected to participate appropriately in required learning activities, assessments, academic interactions, and other programme requirements.

If your academic engagement or progress becomes a concern, ESDST may contact you and may invite you to a meeting to discuss the matter and identify appropriate support or corrective action.

Repeated failure to engage, respond to institutional communications, or attend required meetings may result in action being taken in accordance with the relevant academic and student policies, including withdrawal from the programme where applicable.

Raising a Concern

Students may raise concerns or complaints through the applicable ESDST Student Complaints Resolution Procedure.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated in applicable policies, agreements, or legal requirements, intellectual property in original academic work created by you during your studies remains yours.

By enrolling, you permit ESDST to use or reproduce appropriate examples of student work for legitimate academic, teaching, quality assurance, promotional, or institutional purposes, subject to applicable data protection requirements and institutional policies.

Studying at a Partner Institution

If any part of your programme is delivered by, through, or in collaboration with a partner institution, you may also be required to comply with that institution’s relevant academic, administrative, conduct, health and safety, and other applicable rules and regulations in addition to those of ESDST.

About ESDST

The European School of Data Science & Technology (ESDST) is an independent education institution specialising in data science, artificial intelligence, technology, and related disciplines.

The recognition, acceptance, or equivalence of qualifications may vary between countries, employers, universities, professional bodies, immigration authorities, and other organisations. Students intending to use an ESDST qualification for a specific purpose outside the jurisdiction in which it is awarded are responsible for confirming any applicable recognition or equivalency requirements with the relevant authority.

Data Protection

ESDST processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and its Privacy Policy and Student Privacy Notice.

Personal data may be processed for purposes including admissions, enrolment, academic administration, assessment, examinations, certification, student support, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and the administration of your relationship with ESDST.

Where lawful and appropriate, personal data may also be shared with relevant third parties such as academic partners, service providers, sponsors, employers, awarding or accrediting organisations, regulatory authorities, or other parties involved in the administration of your studies.

Further details are available in our Privacy Policy and relevant student data protection notices.

Health and Safety for On-Campus and Blended Students

Where a programme includes on-campus, blended, residential, laboratory, workshop, or other in-person activities, ESDST is committed to maintaining an appropriate and safe learning environment.

Students are expected to comply with applicable health and safety requirements, instructions, procedures, and local regulations. Serious or repeated breaches may result in disciplinary action.

Service Availability

From time to time, ESDST may need to adjust, suspend, restrict, or temporarily pause access to a service, system, platform, facility, or learning resource for reasons including maintenance, upgrades, security, safety, technical issues, regulatory requirements, or operational circumstances.

Where reasonably possible, we will seek to minimise disruption to students and restore affected services as soon as practicable.

When Enrolment May Be Ended

Your enrolment may be suspended or terminated in accordance with applicable ESDST policies and the Student Contract. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing false, misleading, fraudulent, or materially incomplete information;
  • Failure to satisfy admission or programme requirements;
  • Failure to make required fee payments;
  • Failure to maintain appropriate academic engagement or progress;
  • Academic misconduct or serious misconduct;
  • Breach of the Student Code of Conduct or other applicable policies;
  • Failure to comply with applicable immigration or visa requirements where relevant; or
  • Other circumstances in which continued enrolment is not permitted under applicable institutional policies, contractual terms, or legal requirements.

Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of withdrawal, cancellation, postponement, or programme discontinuation and will be determined in accordance with the applicable Student Contract and Refund Policy.

If ESDST cancels or is unable to deliver a programme, affected students may be entitled to an appropriate refund of fees paid in accordance with the applicable contractual terms and policies.

If you choose to withdraw from your programme, any refund will depend on factors including the timing of your withdrawal, the programme start date, services already provided, and any applicable administrative charges.

Where a cooling-off or cancellation period applies, details will be specified in your admission documents, Student Contract, or applicable Refund Policy.
